Ah, what a delightful situation I've stumbled upon. As I reach into the first alcove, a swirling vortex of darkness materializes, birthing an army of skeletons and zombies, all eager to protect their precious resting place. How touching.

I find myself in a spacious, dimly lit chamber adorned with stone walls and alcoves filled with the remains of monks. The air is thick with decay and a mysterious aura that only serves to pique my curiosity further. A single empty niche graces the east wall, while a rusty portcullis provides access to this fascinating room. Alas, I've already explored the hidden chamber revealed by the empty alcove, so I suppose there's no point in examining it any further.

As for these undead guardians, let's see what we have here: three skeletal warriors clad in rusted armor and wielding short swords, as well as two putrid zombies in decaying clothing. How original. I must admit, I'm quite flattered that they consider me such a threat.

Let's not forget that I'm armed with my trusty black axe and protected by my sturdy chain mail armor. Unfortunately, I've nothing in my off-hand at the moment, but I can certainly strike and block with it if necessary. It seems I also have a torch in my off-hand, which is rather inconvenient for swinging my trusty black axe. Oh well, I shall make do.

Darkness engulfs me, but thanks to my magnificent darkvision, I can see these loathsome creatures quite clearly. The skeletal warriors are armed with short swords and seem as silent as the grave, while the zombies lurch toward me with a putrid stench that would make even the hardiest adventurer wince.

Combat ensues! I swing my black axe with great fervor and manage to strike one of the zombies, inflicting a pitiful 8 points of damage. However, in my moment of triumph, I become distracted and fail to notice another zombie shuffling toward me. Its slam attack connects, dealing a painful 11 points of damage. Alas, it seems I've underestimated these vile creatures. My life force dwindles as my hit points reach zero, and I succumb to the darkness, forever to be remembered as Galath Galahad, the foolhardy adventurer who dared to disturb the undead.

As I lay lifeless on the cold stone floor, I ponder my last words of wisdom: "Beware the undead, for they shall always rise again." Farewell, cruel world.
