After perusing my uncle Zahra's missive and considering his requests, I finally turn my attention to the second sheet - the intelligence report on the abandoned abbey. As I read through the brief document, I can't help but roll my eyes at the melodrama of it all: corrupt monks, evil forces, an order of wizards burning the place down. It sounds like something straight out of a cheap dime-store novel.
Still, I must admit that my curiosity is piqued. After all, who am I to turn down a little adventure? And so, after reading the report and its accompanying notes, I make up my mind: I shall head to this forsaken abbey and uncover the truth behind the tale of corruption and destruction.
As I prepare to set out on my journey, I can't help but chuckle at the thought of what lies ahead. Will I find a horde of undead monks, risen from their graves to wreak havoc on the land? Or perhaps a coven of vengeful wizards, still bitter about the abbey's demise? Only time will tell, I suppose.
Now then, let's not dawdle any longer. There's a whole world of adventure out there, and I can hardly wait to get started.
