Ah, finally, I've made it to another large and dimly lit room, just teeming with history and mystery - my two favorite things! The stone walls around me are adorned with alcoves, each containing the remains of what were once pious monks. How delightful, I can hardly contain my excitement at the thought of sifting through their ancient relics.
As I take in my surroundings, my keen eyes catch a glimpse of an empty niche in the east wall. A twinge of curiosity tugs at me, but I quickly dismiss it, knowing full well that any discoveries to be made there have already been plundered by previous visitors. After all, why bother with the leftovers when there's still so much to explore?
The distinct aroma of decay fills the air, adding a certain charm to this long-forgotten place. It seems that even in death, these former inhabitants have left their mark on the room - or perhaps it's just the lingering stench of failure. Either way, I can't help but feel a sense of accomplishment as I stride through this once sacred space, knowing that I am not one to abandon my quest for treasure and knowledge.
Now, as I ponder my next move, I find myself faced with two delightful options:
-
Shall I rummage through these alcoves in search of hidden gems? After all, who knows what treasures these forgotten souls might have left behind?
-
Or should I make my way back through the creaky portcullis to the four-way intersection outside the crypt? It's always good to keep your options open, just in case there are more adventures waiting for me around the corner.
Decisions, decisions... What's a wandering warrior to do?
