As I step back through the portcullis, I find myself at the four-way intersection once again. The passage to my left appears to lead towards the ruins above, while the other passages remain shrouded in darkness. I can't help but feel a sense of relief as I leave the crypt and its eerie atmosphere behind me.
But little did I know, danger lurked in the darkness ahead. Out of nowhere, a pack of giant weasels charges towards me with a ferocity that would put even the most fearsome predators to shame. These creatures are truly a sight to behold - standing at three feet long and two feet tall, they are armed with sharp teeth and claws, ready to strike at any moment.
I take a deep breath and prepare myself for battle. I'm wearing my trusty chain mail armor for protection and wielding my trusty battleaxe in hand. With darkvision on my side, I can see clearly in the pitch-black surroundings.
The first weasel charges towards me with lightning speed, but I'm ready for it. I swing my battleaxe with all my might, striking the creature and dealing a hefty 14 points of damage. It falls to the ground, defeated.
But there are still three more weasels left to deal with. They circle around me, looking for an opening to strike. One of them lunges forward, but I dodge its attack just in time. I retaliate by striking it with my battleaxe, dealing 5 points of damage and taking it down.
But then, one of the weasels manages to bite me, causing me to lose 11 points of health. I'm feeling a bit weakened, but luckily, a mysterious divine healing by an unknown dark god revives me just in time.
I continue fighting with renewed vigor and strike another weasel, dealing 5 more points of damage. But the creature doesn't go down easily and manages to bite me again, causing me to lose another 5 points of health. I hit it once more, this time dealing a fatal blow of 2 points of damage.
With only one weasel left, I feel confident that I can take it down. But just as I'm about to strike, it manages to bite me again, causing me to lose another 6 points of health and ultimately leading to my demise.
I hope for another miracle, but alas, there is none. My health has been reduced to zero once again, and I fall to the ground, defeated.
