Ah, finally, a chance to turn back and reconsider my options. I can't say I'm thrilled to be leaving this damp, chilly chamber behind, but one mustn't be too picky when it comes to exploring ancient ruins. As I make my way back to the four-way intersection, I find myself reminiscing about the delightful encounter with the giant spider. Such a shame that it had to meet its untimely end; I was rather looking forward to observing its peculiar behavior up close.
Now, where were we? Oh yes, the four-way intersection. How inspiring. The passage before me leads back towards the surface, while the others remain shrouded in darkness - a perfect metaphor for my prospects, don't you think? Well, I suppose one mustn't look a gift horse in the mouth, so let's press onward, shall we?
As I tread cautiously down the dimly lit passage, I suddenly find myself under attack by four rather diminutive yet unexpectedly ferocious creatures. Four giant weasels, you say? How delightful! I can hardly contain my excitement at the prospect of adding these furry little specimens to my collection.
With a swift swing of my trusty battleaxe, I dispose of one particularly bothersome weasel, only to have three more descend upon me like the plague. Their sharp teeth and claws manage to inflict massive damage, but fear not! A mysterious divine healing intervenes, preventing my untimely demise. Oh, how fortunate!
Undeterred, I continue fighting with renewed vigor, managing to dispatch two more of these pesky creatures before the last one deals a final, crushing blow, reducing my health to zero and ending my glorious adventure. Alas, it seems that even the gods themselves couldn't resist meddling in my affairs.
