I exit the cave returning to the four-way intersection and ponder my next move.
As I stand here, a lowly warrior with a hint of magical talents, I can't help but feel a sense of accomplishment after having slain that loathsome giant spider and discovering its measly 7 gold coins. Now, I am left to ponder my next move in this desolate ruin.
I glance around, observing the four-way intersection before me, with one passage leading towards the ominous ruins above and the others shrouded in darkness. A sudden realization strikes me - there's nothing more of interest in that cave filled with a murky pond. I could always consider casting Healing Hand to restore some of my vitality or perhaps drink from my Potion of Healing, but where's the fun in that?
Suddenly, my moment of contemplation is interrupted as four menacing giant weasels charge towards me, their beady eyes gleaming with cunning intelligence. I can't help but roll my eyes at the sight of these pitiful creatures - how dare they disturb my musings! With a sigh, I draw my trusty battleaxe and prepare myself for this tedious combat.
The air crackles with tension as they close the distance between us, ready to pounce at any moment. I strike first, hitting one of them with all my might, leaving it lifeless on the ground. Only three more to go, I think to myself as I swing my battleaxe once again, striking another one and dealing significant damage.
But alas, these weasels are not so easily defeated. One of them manages to bite me, causing a fatal amount of damage. Thankfully, a mysterious divine healing saves me from an untimely death provided by some unnamed dark god. I continue my assault on the remaining creatures, striking another one and leaving it motionless.
However, I am not so lucky with the next attack, as I take yet another bite, suffering significant damage. But in true Galath fashion, I strike back, killing another weasel with a swift swing of my battleaxe. Only one more left, and I can't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me at the thought of this encounter coming to an end.
But just as quickly as it came, that feeling vanishes as the remaining giant weasel lands a viscous bite. And before I know it, my health reaches zero, and I succumb to death once again. Soon I will become weasel food.
