As I stand in this musty, ancient four-way intersection, I can't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. After all, I've managed to make it this far into these decrepit ruins without ending up as some creature's dinner. The passage to my left seems to lead towards the surface, while the others remain shrouded in darkness.
I decide to take a quick look around before heading back. My trusty darkvision allows me to see clearly in this pitch darkness. I check the crypt to my rear, but it contains nothing more than the decaying remains of long-dead monks. The cave with the pond to my right is equally uninteresting, save for the slimy green water and the faint smell of mold. In front of me lies nothing but an empty, damp corridor.
As I continue exploring, I stumble upon a rather peculiar sight - four dead Giant Weasels scattered about. It's almost as if they had a disagreement and decided to settle it with a ferocious battle. I can't help but chuckle at the thought of these oversized rodents trying to fight each other. I suppose they didn't stand a chance against my mighty Black Axe.
With nothing more to see here, I make my way back to the surface using the passage to my left. It's always a good idea to leave these places while you're still in one piece, and I have no intention of sticking around any longer than necessary. As I ascend, I can't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. After all, there's nothing quite like the feeling of escaping an ancient, abandoned complex unscathed.
- Head back to the surface using the passage to your left.
