As I, Gallant Galahad, traverse through these decades-long abandoned ruins, I find myself in an upward sloping tunnel. It's as if the very structure itself is challenging me to climb higher and face whatever awaits at the top. My chain mail armor glimmers in the dim light, while my trusty battleaxe swings gently by my side. Little do these worn-out walls know, they are about to witness a display of strength and prowess that will leave them trembling.

I am in for a surprise when I encounter a creature that seems to have crawled out from the darkest corner of my nightmares - a giant spider! Its eight long, hairy legs dangle menacingly, weaving intricate webs with deft precision. The bulbous abdomen, adorned with iridescent hairs, glistens in the dim light, and two beady eyes gleam with unsettling intelligence. I can't help but roll my eyes at its pitiful attempt to intimidate me.

The giant spider lunges forward, aiming for a venomous bite. It manages to land a blow, dealing 4 points of damage. But fear not! Just as I am about to meet my untimely end, a mysterious divine healing by an unknown and unnamed dark god saves me from the brink of death. How kind of them to intervene in such a trivial matter.

The spider continues its assault, attempting another venomous bite. This time, it deals 3 points of damage. I respond with a wild swing of my battleaxe, but alas, I miss! The spider persists and strikes again, causing me to suffer 6 points of damage. With a sigh, I retaliate by hitting the spider with my battleaxe, dealing a significant blow of 7 points of damage.

Despite its numerous attempts, the spider continues to miss me with its venomous bite. But I am not so fortunate; I miss yet again with my battleaxe attack. The spider manages another strike, dealing 2 points of damage. Unfortunately, this time, it proves to be fatal.

And thus concludes Gallant Galahad's grand adventure in the upward sloping tunnel.

  • Start Over and face this eight-legged foe again? I suppose it's better than spending eternity in the company of these dusty old ruins.
